The project Expo Memórias Capitais (Capital Memories Expo) by Matthieu Rougé (Estúdio Zut!) is a audiovisual creation of a journey around Brazil. Affective geographies compose a poetic narrative formed by a collection of statements made by artists and personalities of importance in brazilian culture from all its state capitals. The exhibition pavilion, designed in aluminum tubular structure by Luís Felipe Abbud (Numena), was conceived to be a video-mapped poetic expedition of an extensive photo essay made by Rougé. It engages oral and imagetic memories of personalities like musician Carlinhos Brown, Chico César, film director Jorge Furtado, singer Fafá de Belém, writer Milton Hatoum, architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, artist Siron Franco, singer Tetê Spindola and musician Zeca Baleiro, and many others. Each one from a state capital of the country
The exposition was planned with two sound levels: a micro level, of intimate personal statements, made with mono sound points between the spectators; macro level, a 5.1 channel system built into the tubular aluminium structure, composing the imaginative soundscape of the video-mapped mosaic.
The project was exhibit on SESC Winter Festival 2015 | Petrópolis – Rio de Janeiro
